AussieDoodleWoods

As a family we have ALWAYS {going on 1/2 century} had Australian Shepherds -  as working dogs & companion dogs.
We couldn't be happier or more in love with them.
                                                                       How the "DoodleWoods" evolved!
We have Family &  Friends that have  family members with Medical conditions that their  Dr's. Recommended getting a dog for them, over the years we saw them try a few different breeds and it just wasn't working.
We  knew the Australian Shepherds of the calmer nature could be a fit but these house holds didn't need the "Furr" to add to their daily chores. We did a lot of research over a few years on the crossing of the two breeds- Pro's & Con's, possible medical  issues, temperament, conformation etc.
Then the search began for the Poodles ~ Looking for Genetic health~ Testing for inherited  diseases and doing OFA's as well as Temperament evaluation. With a longevity in the pedigree.
At the same time we did some special mating's with our Australian Shepherds to acquire  the type of Australian Shepherds we felt would cross well with the Poodles. ~{ Longevity/ calmer dispositions/ lighter fur coats/ stronger guardian instincts} as well as the genetic testing and OFA Certifications.

We had our first litter "F1 Doodles" in  2010 and have kept in close contact with the families that we placed the puppies with.
They were  a success!  When those puppies turned a year with good reports we Bred  two females  - one standard Aussie and one small Mini Aussie to Registered poodles of appropriate size.
We have been very blessed with healthy and beautiful puppies.  So that is how "Doodle Woods"  has evolved. In the beginning we were only mating to produce service/therapy and medical alert dogs. NOW they are also a great family companion.

We are fortunate that we have the time and the space to be able to breed 5 different sizes of AussieDoodles so that we can place the perfect size for your family with you.  Some of these sizes we only have once every 12-18 months so please let us know what size you would ideally like- even if there aren't any on the website.
We have puppies that are F1's / F1b's  of all sizes----We do not use a third Breed nor do we breed just for Color.

We also donate several pups each year to families in need. We now have schools that have acquired our Doodles that are working with their counselors as emotional support for students.
